St. Louis Printer Zane Williams Leads Industry in Banners and Large Format Printing
St. Louis, MO, October 27, 2009 -- Since 1959, Zane Williams has provided printing and sign making services to the St. Louis area. In the past 50 years, the St. Louis printing company has grown tremendously to become a leader in printing a wide selection of banners, signs and displays for events, promotions and recognition advertising programs. As the company established its local credibility working with companies such as Purina, Monsanto and Anheuser-Busch, the printing company expanded organically and now works with national companies on large scale projects.
“When I took over the business from my father in 1981, I wanted to establish Zane Williams as the premier banner and large scale printing company in the nation,” said Jeff Williams, owner of Zane Williams. “I invested in silk screening machines and large scale printers in order to greatly expand our product offering. Now, we print banners for companies across the nation, including light pole banners, tear drop banners, bowhead banners, transit signs, trade show signs, floor graphics, window decals and point of purchase displays. We’ve come a long way from the company my dad started in 1959 that specialized in hand lettering signs and displays.”
Zane Williams also concentrates on providing signs for high profile events. In the past, the company produced banners of all sizes and designs for events such as Super Bowls, Olympic Games and festivals, two Rolling Stones concert tours and Pope John Paul II’s visit to St. Louis. Most recently, Zane Williams was selected by the MLB to deck out downtown St. Louis for the 2009 All Star Week.
“The All Star Week project was one of our favorites, but it was an extremely large undertaking. In less than a week, we had to hang and take down banners for over 13 hotels with interior and exterior graphics and we also produced all of the light pole banners for the game. While it was a ton of work, it was a great week to be a Cardinal fan as downtown was draped from head-to-toe in Cardinal red Zane Williams’ banners,” said Jeff Williams.
The St. Louis printer has been honored in both local and international competitions for its digital printing and silk screen printing work on light pole and street pole banners, POP displays, decals and other signage projects. The St. Louis Gallery of Printing Excellence, for instance, has awarded Zane Williams with more than 10 first place awards for printing excellence since 1999. These entries are also entered into an International Gallery of Superb Printing Competition, which includes the United States, Canada and seven foreign countries. Zane Williams is proud to have taken home two Top Gold Awards, three Silver Awards and two Bronze Awards in the most recent international competition.
